Unless otherwise specified, all software used on the website is the sole property of, or has been licensed to, Engagement Institute. The above intellectual property rights are protected by Australian and international laws. You acknowledge and agree that nothing in these Terms of Use grants to you any of the above intellectual property rights of Engagement Institute.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Registration Transfer
If your invoice remains unpaid 10 working days prior to the event or training session, Engagement Institute reserves the right to transfer your registration to another participant.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or change your reservation up to 10 working days before the scheduled date without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations or changes made after this period will incur a fee equal to the registration cost.
Cancellation, Changes and Non-Attendance for Training/Events
Within 10 working days of the scheduled training or event:

Replacement Participant: If a replacement meeting the pre-requisite requirements (if any) is found, no cancellation fee will be charged.

No Replacement: No refund will be issued.

Non-Attendance: No refund will be provided.
Extenuating Circumstances Policy
Engagement Institute considers applications to waive cancellation fees under extenuating circumstances. Acceptable circumstances typically include illness, personal or family emergencies, and religious holidays. Documentation may be required. Conflicts due to job interviews, career pursuits, personal or professional commitments, or travel do not qualify.
Special Provisions for Public Face-to-Face Training/Events

Replacement Participant: No cancellation fee if a compliant replacement is found.

10 Working Days Prior: 70% refund of the full registration fee.

5 to 9 Working Days Prior: 50% refund.
-
Less than 5 Working Days: No refund, substitution only.

Non-Attendance: No refund.
Engagement Institute reserves the right to change programs without notice which may include moving face-to-face training to virtual delivery or course cancellation if registrations are insufficient. In the event of a cancellation by Engagement Institute, we will provide a refund. We strongly recommend not booking flights or accommodation until 2 weeks prior to the scheduled program date.
Podcasts or Recordings
Podcasts or recordings are non-refundable once downloaded.
Engagement Institute reserves the right to adjust these policies as necessary and will communicate any changes as they occur.
Satisfactory Completion of Course
To satisfactorily complete the Course, you must:

Attend all course sessions and take part in all required activities.

Comply with the full attendance policy. Only extenuating circumstances (illness, emergency, religious holidays) are accepted for absence. Notify Engagement Institute in advance if possible via training@engagementinstitute.org.au.
Missed sessions must be completed by 31 December 2022 to qualify for a certificate.
Membership Terms and Conditions
Eligibility, Application and Admission of Members
Any Natural person or corporation committed to the purpose, values, and code of ethics of Engagement Institute may be a Member if:

An application is submitted on the prescribed form and fee is paid;

The applicant agrees to a guarantee for company liabilities;

The Board accepts the application;
-
The name is entered in the Register of Members.
The Board may reject applications without providing reasons. Membership rights are not transferable.
Register of Members
The Secretary maintains the Register of Members. When accepted, the Member’s name is recorded and notified in writing. The recorded address is used for correspondence.
Discipline of Members
The Board may expel a Member at its discretion if it deems it in the Company’s best interests. The Member will be given at least 21 days’ notice with meeting details and may provide an explanation. Expelled Members may reapply. Expelled or suspended individuals cannot serve as Directors.
Cessation of Membership
A person ceases to be a Member due to:

Resignation or unpaid fees over 60 days;

Death, insolvency, bankruptcy, or Board termination;

In the case of a company, if it is dissolved, liquidated, or deemed untraceable.
Former Members remain liable for outstanding dues and the guaranteed amount. They may not represent themselves as Members.
Member Corporations
Corporate Members must appoint a proxy to attend and vote at general meetings.
