Speaker bio
Mike Butler has been connecting with First Nations communities for nearly 25 years in places including PNG, Australia, Vanuatu and NZ.
He is a legal, communications and engagement professional with an engineering background. His Aboriginal blood flows from Central Queensland and he has grown on Sydney Harbour since the early 1970s.
Mike has worked alongside First Nations groups in development, land claims, commercial legals and advocating for Aboriginal parents inside NSW’s child welfare system.
He currently consults on Reconciliation Action Plans and running sydneyharbourelder.com.au
He also has a Jurist Doctor of law, a trained mediator and an active member of International Association for Public Participation.
