A Community-Driven Approach: Recognising the strong civic activism in the village, Byron Shire Council resolved to develop the masterplan with a community-led approach. The formation of a dedicated Steering Group consisting of community volunteers to lead the planning process was a standout feature. The community played a crucial role in shaping the masterplan, with workshops and consultations allowing residents to express their views for the village’s future.
