Applications are now open for the 2026 Resilient Australia Research for Impact Award, recognising research that is helping build stronger, more resilient communities across Australia.

Presented as part of the Resilient Australia Awards, the national award celebrates research that is making a meaningful contribution to disaster resilience by strengthening knowledge, capability and practice. The award is open to Australian tertiary institutions, with submissions welcomed in both written and video formats.

The broader Resilient Australia Awards recognise collaboration and innovative initiatives that strengthen resilience across communities, organisations and the private sector. They showcase projects that are helping communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters and emergencies.

If your organisation is partnering with researchers—or you’re involved in research that is influencing engagement, resilience or community outcomes—this is an opportunity to showcase your work on a national stage.

Applications close Friday, 17 July 2026.
