A recent Essentials of Engagement in-house training session with IPART helped staff explore how meaningful, fit-for-purpose engagement can be applied within their unique regulatory environment.

Designed for teams and organisations, Engagement Institute’s in-house training supports groups of 10 or more to build shared capability in a way that can be customised to their context, challenges and ways of working.

For IPART, the session created space for staff from across the organisation to connect the fundamentals of engagement to their own work, while sharing perspectives from different parts of the business.

Feedback from the day described the training as “extremely well received,” with the session “engaging, practical and paced in a way that really encouraged participation.”

The participant who shared the feedback said there was “strong energy throughout the day,” with participants “actively contributing to discussions, thoughtfully working through activities, and openly sharing perspectives from across different parts of IPART.”

They also reflected on the value of having IPART-specific context in the room:

“I also really valued being part of the day to provide additional IPART specific context in the room to help staff connect the fundamentals of engagement back to our own ways of working and think about what meaningful and fit for purpose engagement looks like within our unique regulatory environment.”

Several participants shared positive feedback directly after the training, including:

“It was an amazing workshop, thank you. I learned a lot.”

“So good! Thanks!! Might sign up to the next one.”

IPART also thanked their trainer for delivering “such a fun, interactive and genuinely engaging session.”

The feedback also highlighted the value of the session as a refresher, with the participant noting they “appreciated the opportunity to see how the material continues to land with staff.”

Essentials of Engagement supports teams to build a shared understanding of engagement principles and apply them in practical, fit-for-purpose ways. As an in-house option, it can help organisations create a common language for engagement and connect core concepts directly to their own operating environment.
