External Webinar: Preparing for Deliberative Engagement in 2028

We know many of our members are already looking ahead to the next Victorian local government election cycle in 2028, when new Council Plans will again require deliberative engagement. That’s why we’re sharing this external opportunity we think will be of real interest.

2028 Preparedness: Deliberative Engagement for Victorian Local Governments is a free webinar hosted by Capire Consulting Group. It’s designed to help local governments and engagement professionals reflect on recent deliberative processes, explore challenges, and reimagine how they could be delivered in the next cycle.

The session will:

• highlight strengths and lessons from the last round of Council Plan engagement

• share tools and ideas to streamline practice for 2028

• support councils and practitioners to start planning now

• provide a space to connect with peers across the sector.
