Climate Change, adaptation and mitigation consultation

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has launched their public consultation on a number of documents to help large greenhouse gas emitters reduce emissions and drive NSW towards net-zero by 2050. 

The proposed requirements will apply to about 200 premises that emit 25,000 tonnes or more of scope 1 and 2 emissions of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2-e) per year. 

These will provide requirements for reporting and specific mitigation actions.

The Climate Change licensee requirements documents are open for public consultation until 5pm, Tuesday 7 October 2025.
